1-Day Itinerary to Explore Su Pan

Morning

07:30 – 08:00: Depart from the center of Sa Pa town, traveling about 17 km to Su Pan village. Along the way, you can stop to admire the scenery and take photos of the terraced rice fields in Muong Hoa Valley.

09:00 – 11:00: Trek around the village, visiting the houses of the H'Mong or Dao people. Learn about rammed-earth house architecture, daily life, and customs. This is also a time when you can try your hand at brocade weaving or watch locals craft silver jewelry.

Midday

13:30 – 15:30: Continue the trekking journey to the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Su Pan. If you visit during the ripe rice season (September–October), you will admire the golden hues stretching across the valley; during the watering season (May–June), the landscape sparkles with silver reflections under the sun.

15:30 – 16:30: Visit some local households selling brocade souvenirs, handbags, scarves, or handmade silver bracelets to buy gifts to bring home.

Evening

17:00: Return to Sa Pa center. If you want to experience more, you can choose to stay overnight at a homestay in the village to spend the evening gathered around the hearth with a local family, enjoying corn wine and listening to stories about their life and customs.
