Keo Pagoda – An Ancient Architectural Heritage of Thai Binh
Keo Pagoda is one of the famous ancient pagodas in Vietnam, located in Vu Thu District, Thai Binh Province. Built in the 17th century, the pagoda still preserves its unique traditional wooden architecture almost entirely intact. The highlight of the pagoda is its three-tiered bell tower with intricately carved details, showcasing the talent of ancient artisans.
Not only a place of Buddhist worship, the pagoda also honors Zen Master Duong Khong Lo, who played a major role in spreading Buddhism. Every year, the Keo Pagoda Festival is held in spring and autumn, attracting numerous tourists and locals to visit and pay respect. With its outstanding historical, architectural, and cultural value, Keo Pagoda is an attractive destination, contributing to preserving and promoting Vietnamese national cultural identity.
